Sell your non-runner car in London
Engine gone? Gearbox stuck? Battery dead after months on the drive? Tell us what's wrong and we'll make you an offer. The car doesn't need to move under its own power.
- We come to you, at home or at work
- Any car, in any condition
- Price agreed before we travel
- Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
A car that won't run still has value
We call a car a non-runner when it can't be driven safely. It might have a seized engine, a snapped cambelt, a gearbox that won't go into gear, or an electrical fault that stops it starting. Sometimes it's just been parked too long and the battery, brakes and tyres have given up.
Dealers rarely take these in part-exchange. Private buyers want you to sort the recovery. We buy them as they are, and the parts, bodywork and repair potential usually make the car worth more than scrap weight.
What to tell us
The more we know, the closer our first figure will be to the final one.
- What happened. Did it stop suddenly, make a noise first, or just not start one morning?
- Any diagnosis. A garage report or a quote helps, but you don't need one.
- The state of the body and interior. A tidy car with a dead engine is worth more than a scruffy one.
- Paperwork. The V5C, service history and both keys all count.
Getting it off your drive
We come with a transporter or a recovery truck with a winch. The car doesn't need to start, roll or have air in the tyres. If it's somewhere awkward, like an underground car park, a narrow mews or a back garden, tell us when we call so we bring the right kit.
Before you pay for a big repair
On an older car, fixing a major fault can cost more than the car is worth. Get a price from us for the car as it is before you approve the garage bill. If the two figures are close, selling now saves you the outlay and the wait.
How it works
Step 1: Get your valuation
Enter your reg and mileage, then check the car's details. It takes about a minute.
Step 2: We confirm your offer
Someone on our team looks over the details and confirms a price with you before anyone travels.
Step 3: We collect from you
Pick a time. We come to your home, your work or wherever the car is parked.
Step 4: Get paid
We check the car matches what you told us, you sign the paperwork, and we pay you the agreed price.
Non-runner questions
Does the car need to start before you collect it?
No. We collect non-runners on a transporter. Just tell us if the wheels are locked or the tyres are flat.
Will you buy a car with a blown engine?
Yes. A major fault lowers the price, but we still buy the car. Describe the problem as best you can.
The car is on a SORN. Can I still sell it?
Yes. A SORN car can be sold and collected from private land. We'll sort the change of keeper paperwork with you.
Is it worth more than scrap?
Usually. Most non-runners have parts or a fault worth repairing. If yours really is only fit for scrap, we'll tell you.
