Why sell to us instead of a forecourt?

South London has a lot of car dealers. The Purley Way in Croydon alone is lined with them. If you've tried getting a part-exchange price, you'll know the figure for your old car tends to move depending on what you're buying. We only buy, so the price we give you is for your car and nothing else.

Inner South London: permits and on-street parking

In Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth and much of Lewisham, most streets are permit zones and plenty of homes have no driveway. Roads in Brockley, Ladywell and Hither Green are typical: on-street parking only. We collect from the kerb. The checks and paperwork take about half an hour, then the car is gone and you've got your space back.

The gyratory by Lewisham station and DLR, the junctions at Clapham and Brixton, and the South Circular through Catford can all be slow. If you live near one, we'll agree a sensible place to meet.

Croydon and the outer boroughs

Croydon is where the A23, A232 and A212 meet. If you live in one of the towers near East Croydon station, most have a residents' car park, which is fine. Let us know about height barriers or fob entry before the day. If you work in town, we can meet near your office instead. The one-way system around Wellesley Road is slow at rush hour, so we'll suggest a time that avoids it.

Further out, Shirley, Sanderstead, Purley, Beckenham, Orpington, Cheam and Bexleyheath are mostly driveways, which makes collection simple. If your road is narrow or the car is in a garage with no room to turn, say so when we call.

Event days and timing

During the Wimbledon Championships the roads around the All England Club get busy and parking is restricted, so we'll avoid that fortnight in SW19 if we can. Rush hour on the A2, the A20, the A21 and the Blackwall Tunnel approach in Greenwich is worth missing too. We'll fit around you, including evenings and weekends.

ULEZ south of the river

Everywhere inside the South Circular has been in the ULEZ since October 2021. Bromley, Bexley, Sutton, Croydon and the rest of the outer boroughs came in when the zone expanded in August 2023. Older diesels and some older petrol cars pay the daily charge, and that's one of the most common reasons people here sell to us. We buy compliant and non-compliant cars.
