Don't fix it first
London driving means knocks. Kerbed alloys, a cracked bumper from a tight parking space, a dented door, or something worse at a junction. We'll value the car as it is.
Getting body work done before you sell rarely pays. A respray or a new panel can easily cost more than it adds to the price, especially on an older car. We'd rather factor the damage into our figure and leave the repair to us.
Insurance write-off categories
If your insurer wrote the car off and you kept it or bought it back, it will have a category on its record.
- Category S means structural damage, for example to the chassis. The car can be repaired and go back on the road.
- Category N means non-structural damage, such as cosmetic or electrical faults. Also repairable.
- Category A and B cars can't go back on the road. A is crushed, B is broken for parts. Tell us if yours is one of these.
We buy Cat S and Cat N cars, repaired or not. You have to tell any buyer about the category. It shows on every history check anyway.
Help us get the price right
Photos make the biggest difference. Send a few from different angles on WhatsApp. Let us know whether it still drives, which warning lights are on, and whether any airbags went off (that changes repair costs a lot). If you have a repair estimate or an engineer's report, send that too.
Where we collect from
Your home, your work, a body shop or a storage yard. If the car was moved after the accident, give us the address and the name the paperwork is under. If it can't be driven, we'll bring a transporter.
