How it works, from valuation to payment
Four steps and no haggling. Start with a free valuation by registration, agree the price, and we'll come to you.
- We come to you, at home or at work
- Any car, in any condition
- Price agreed before we travel
- Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
1. Get a free car valuation by registration
Type in your registration number and the mileage. If you'd rather, you can enter the make, model and year yourself. Then tell us about the car: fuel, gearbox, colour, its condition, whether the MOT is valid and whether there's any finance on it.
That's enough for us to work out how much your car is worth to us. It's free and you don't have to accept.
2. We confirm your offer
Someone on our team looks at your details and gets in touch by phone, email or WhatsApp. We might ask about the service history, a warning light or some damage, so the figure is right. Photos help, and you can send them on WhatsApp.
We agree the price before anyone travels. If the car matches what you told us, that's the price.
3. We come to you
Pick a time and a place: your home, your work, or wherever the car is parked. We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the car can't be driven, we bring a transporter.
4. You get paid
When we arrive, we check the car against your description, look at the documents and fill in the sale paperwork with you. You're paid the agreed price, and we'll have explained exactly how payment works when we confirmed the offer.
What to have ready
The handover takes about half an hour if you have these to hand:
- The V5C logbook (or tell us in advance if it's missing)
- Photo ID and proof of address
- All the keys, and the locking wheel nut key
- Service history and receipts for recent work
- Your finance settlement figure, if there's finance on the car
Before we arrive, clear out your belongings, unpair your phone and take off any private plate you want to keep. Our documents checklist has more detail.
How it works
Step 1: Get your valuation
Enter your reg and mileage, then check the car's details. It takes about a minute.
Step 2: We confirm your offer
Someone on our team looks over the details and confirms a price with you before anyone travels.
Step 3: We collect from you
Pick a time. We come to your home, your work or wherever the car is parked.
Step 4: Get paid
We check the car matches what you told us, you sign the paperwork, and we pay you the agreed price.
Valuation questions
How much is my car worth?
It depends on the make, model, age, mileage, condition, history and what similar cars are selling for. Enter your reg and a few details for a free valuation.
How accurate is a valuation by registration?
The reg tells us the exact car. With the mileage and condition you give us, that's a solid starting point. We confirm the final figure with you before we travel.
Do I have to accept the offer?
No. The valuation is free and there's no obligation.
What if the car isn't as described?
If there's a real difference, like damage you didn't mention or a different mileage, we'll explain it and you can decide whether to go ahead. You never have to sell.
