Spec counts on a BMW
M Sport is the trim most buyers want. Options like Professional navigation, heated seats, a panoramic roof and the driving assistant packs add to the price too. Automated valuations often miss them, so list what your car has.

Known issues
Some 2.0 litre N47 diesels from around 2007 to 2014 had timing chain trouble. If yours has had the chain replaced, the invoice is worth finding.
Many BMWs run on run-flat tyres. Four matching, healthy tyres help. Make sure no servicing is showing as overdue on the dashboard, because buyers notice.
Getting it ready
Take the car off the My BMW app and any ConnectedDrive services. In iDrive there's an option to reset your personal settings. If the car came with a Display Key, include it. It's expensive to replace. Tell us if you have an extended warranty or a service package that transfers to the next owner.
